🔹 FOUNDATION PROGRAM
Build Tolerance. Build Consistency. Build Control.
The Foundation Program is designed to establish safe, repeatable cold exposure habits without overwhelming the nervous system. This is where long-term success starts.
Who It’s For
- New to cold exposure
- Returning after time off or burnout
- General wellness or low-to-moderate training loads
Program Focus
- Establishing cold tolerance safely
- Nervous system regulation
- Habit formation and consistency
How It Works
Cold exposure is introduced gradually, with controlled temperature ranges and short exposure durations. The emphasis is on comfort with discomfort, not pushing limits.
Program Parameters
- Exposure Duration: 30 seconds – 2 minutes
- Temperature Range: 55–65°F (13–18°C)
- Frequency: 2–4 sessions per week
Primary Outcome
Build tolerance, consistency, and nervous system control — without unnecessary stress.
What This Program Avoids
- Shock-based protocols
- “Push through it” mentality
- One-size-fits-all extremes
Best for: Long-term adherence and sustainable adaptation.
All Polar Merge programs prioritize gradual adaptation, recovery balance, and individual tolerance. Progression is based on consistency and response — not discomfort for its own sake.
