Performance Program

🔹 PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

Recovery That Supports Training — Not Competes With It.

The Performance Program is built for athletes and high performers who train regularly and want cold exposure to enhance recovery without blunting adaptation.

Who It’s For

  • Athletes training multiple days per week
  • Structured training blocks
  • High cognitive or physical workload

Program Focus

  • Recovery support
  • Exposure timing relative to training
  • Minimizing interference with adaptation

How It Works

Cold exposure is strategically placed to complement training stress. Sessions are long enough to aid recovery, but controlled to avoid performance tradeoffs.

Program Parameters

  • Exposure Duration: 2–4 minutes
  • Temperature Range: 45–55°F (7–13°C)
  • Frequency: 3–5 sessions per week

Primary Outcome

Enhanced recovery, resilience, and training sustainability.

What This Program Avoids

  • Random exposure timing
  • Overuse during high-adaptation phases
  • “More is better” thinking

Best for: Athletes who want cold exposure to work with their training.

All Polar Merge programs prioritize gradual adaptation, recovery balance, and individual tolerance. Progression is based on consistency and response — not discomfort for its own sake.

If training load or recovery needs change, progression and regression between programs is expected.
